When we last left you we were preparing to cross the border from Costa Rica into Nicaragua. After the hours of waiting on the Costa Rica side all went well. We boarded a small riverboat filled with locals heading up the Rio Frio. We crossed over the border on the river and checked in with immigration in the next town of San Carlos, Nicaragua.

Angela and Rod Dalziel here. It is just under a week before we leave beautiful Victoria, BC and head off on our official honeymoon backpacking through Central America. Yikes!
The plan is we are flying into San Jose, Costa Rica and we will be flying out of Belize, 2 months later. Everything in between will be left in the hands of the fates (as well as a bit of research and advice from future travellers we will be meeting).
