This trip has been a dream of mine for many years. I have always wanted to take a trip around the United States after my retirement from teaching. It is hard to believe it is finally here. I will be starting an approximately 7 week driving trip, spending most of my time in the south and on the east coast. Emily will be able to join me for the first week plus and then she will have to return to work. The trip after Texas is designed to be very fluid. I have mapped out the destinations with approximate dates. If I find that I need more time at a particular location, I will stay longer.
