the mantle of the happiest
The poorest are often the most generous and in many ways show happiness in simple things I find. Poignant your findings in remote villages in Guinea, Shaun. I think the lack of rubbish is also evidence of their pride and understanding of self. I found this evident in Ethiopia particularly. And the happiness and welcome of people in Mali made us love that country and the heart of its people. Sounds like you found that in Guinea...but you did not mention the music. Did you perchance experience the drums...the music of its people?
