In late January, we decided to go to Mexico for an 11 day stay. In order to be considered a true citizen of Salt Spring Island, it is required that you go to Melaque, Mx for a few weeks every winter. We did the Dingle Way Walk in May and spent a few days in Northern Ireland (and Ireland) which got me to 108 countries. Travel is a bit challenging for those of us who have to use Canadian airlines-not sure why Air Canada and Westjet are so bad. Over the past year, my best flights have been with Luftansa, Air France and Ryanair. Trains are also a great way to travel. We are planning a house trade this winter so we can spend some time skiing at Soverign Lakes near Vernon. A trip to Melaque may also be in the offing.
