Penguin highways

Penguins navigate across the landscape on "penguin highways". They would waddle up and down these highways, sometimes tumbling and stumbling along, as they made their way to and from shore and nesting rookeries. We were careful to avoid stepping on their highways and I for one just thoroughly enjoyed simply sitting and watching them made their way across the landscape.

When one thinks of the continent of Antarctica, many things come to mind. Imposing icebergs, cooooold cold temperatures, brave explorers, comical penguins, and perhaps even spouting whales. And yes, all of these things correctly represent this beautiful place.
