There are many secluded cays between Lovely Bay, Acklins and Crooked Island. You can walk on private, soft, sandy beaches for miles and not see another foot print in the sand.

I have traveled to the Bahamas numerous times. As a child living in Florida, my dad would “ship” me off to the Bahamas to spend the summer months and Christmas breaks with my paternal grandmother in New Providence (Nassau). Every summer, my grandmother would gather up me and my cousins and we would take the mailboat to Acklins...our homeland for the summer.
As an adult, I travel to the Bahamas at least twice a year. I live in the U.S. However, I have never visited major cities in the U.S. like New York, L.A. New Orleans, etc. Instead, I would rather travel to the Bahamas... full info
