The Bight of Acklins is a shallow (approximately 500 sq. mile) lagoon that separate Acklins, Long Cay, and Crooked Island. The Bight is superb for bone fishing, diving for lobster and conch, or just watching the sunset.

I have traveled to the Bahamas numerous times. As a child living in Florida, my dad would “ship” me off to the Bahamas to spend the summer months and Christmas breaks with my paternal grandmother in New Providence (Nassau). Every summer, my grandmother would gather up me and my cousins and we would take the mailboat to Acklins...our homeland for the summer.
As an adult, I travel to the Bahamas at least twice a year. I live in the U.S. However, I have never visited major cities in the U.S. like New York, L.A. New Orleans, etc. Instead, I would rather travel to the Bahamas... full info
