As far as dinner went - I don't know if the lack of real food lately influenced my perception, but those meatballs were incredible! Served with a delicious cream sauce that was punctuated with tons of whole peppercorns, the only bad thing about the dish was the odd olive that floated around. There was also the tip of a red pepper stuffed with a piece of feta, and had a wonderfully sweet, roasted flavour (the entire dish was finished in the oven). The steaming plate kept me warm sitting outside on this brisk night. The potato of the day was a bit disappointing in that it was only fried hash browns, but they were nicely done, and were great with the cream sauce. The salad was also tasty, with cucumbers, lettuce, tomato, herbs, and toasted (almost burnt?) sesame seeds. The dressing was light and creamy, and again there was a liberal use of whole peppercorns (the chef must like using them!). The salad was tainted by a few olives, but I tossed them out and tried to ignore the slight nasty flavour that their juices imparted to the salad.
