Strange ...

... concrete walls line long stretches of the highway from Baku to Qobustan, but I'm not sure why. Sometimes the walls hide residential areas, but more often than not, behind them lie industrial facilities. In countries like this you always wonder if things like this are actually necessary, or if they were only an act of corruption, built because a powerful politician's buddy or cousin happens to own a construction company.
