Breakfast Number Three ...

... with jet lag wreaking havoc on our bodies, after having an initial breakfast of granola bars and tea, followed by our second breakfast, we hit up a ramen shop in Dotonbori. This stuff was AWESOME - in the foreground is ramen with pork and an egg soft-boiled in green tea, with a soy sauce-based broth. In the background is ramen in a thick, spicy broth that was a bit too pungent with an almost kim chi-like flavour - while the soup was good, the flavour was a bit too intense. Even though the noodles were spectacularly al dente, the highlight was actually the slices of pork - typically, pork served in ramen dishes back in Canada are dry and chewy slabs of meat, but not here! These fatty slices of pork paradise had so much fat and marbling that they melted on your tongue and dissolved into a puddle of porcine perfection.
