Chez Victor ...

... another recommendation by Laura's friend, and also by the girl from the hostel who had given the tour. There's a location on Rue St. Jean which is a lot cozier, housed in old home with a small patio, but I had ended up down by the old port and dined at that location. Much more contemporary, like the typical Western Canadian chain restaurant. The burger of the week was a bison burger, with cream cheese, mustard, pesto mayonnaise, sauteed onions, baby spinach, and tomato. Good, juicy burger patty, though it fell apart towards the end. Not sure what it was, but the burger ended up being a bit too sweet for my taste. After having a beaver tail, I should've skipped the fries and opted for a salad - but the fries were good, moist and almost creamy inside, very crispl About five different mayonnaises are offered for dipping - this one is maple syrup and rosemary. A bit different ... Another local beer tonight - a blonde Boreale which was decent, but not as good as last night's terrific Cheval Blanc.
