We left Lafayette and headed toward New Orleans. On the way we stopped at the Oak Alley Plantation along the Mississippi River. It is a preserved mansion and other buildings from the early 1800's. This included slave quarters as well. The plantation grew sugar cane. We then drove to New Orleans and our hotel.
