Another Zabriskie view

The lowest point is Badwater Basin, 282 ft below sea level. Yet not 85 miles to the west is Mt Whitney, the highest mountain in continental U.S. at 14,494 ft. Not far past Death Valley we drove through a pass over 7,000 ft elevation.
