Captain Ewen Cameron and Dr. Richard Fox Brenham

On February 11, 1843, Captain Cameron led Texas prisoners from the Dawson and Mier expeditions in an escape from Hacienda Salado, 80-miles south of Saltillo, Coahuila. Dr. Brenham died attempting escape, of the five Texans killed. Captain Cameron was one of the soldiers involved in the Black Bean Death Lottery and drew a white bean. Captain Cameron nor Dr. Brenham are interred in this tomb.
