A visit to Hobbiton was high on our list of things to do. After a very pleasant breakfast with our hosts at the Sunlover Retreat in Tairua, we left for Matamata and the 1200 acre sheep farm where they filmed the Shire in the Lord of the Rings and then the Hobbit.
