Fidel Castro was a reluctant icon because it was his own wish that he would not become a symbol. There is nowadays actually a law that prohibit statues of him to be erected in Cuba. But signs are OK we guess

It's a decent neighborhood
The house you see behind the sign is either an unfinished or under construction. We found the sign next to a backroad so the road is also not representative. The living condition of the population was in most places we visited quite decent. /Ake
