What a great quest, and I adore the Immigration Officer's reaction! Interesting the reason the bridges were covered--I had thought it was because in places where it snows, bridges become icy and the covering prevents the ice from forming, so it's safer to drive on. But I'm from California and have never even seen a covered bridge. These and that tower are beautiful! You're revealing America to us Americans--thanks!
