Lemons to lemoncello!
What a great story, and I adore the moral, "less planning and more surprise." I spent a couple of stimulating weeks in Strasbourg, but my heart will forever belong in Colmar! You are so right about the fairy-tale quality of those half-timbered houses, and the wonderful vineyards and nearby towns for walking and exploring. And I agree about the TGV--it goes too fast for my eyes that love to linger. Lemons...
We were really lucky that Colmar turned out to be so lovely. It really turned into a nice place of good food, nice weather and beautiful surroundings. In other words, just about perfect! I hope your travels are going well also. Thank you so much for reading and commenting, Tara!
