Oli kuuma päivä. Aamupalan jälkeen Jukka meni uimaan mereen, minä hotellin uima-altaaseen. Lähdettiin liikkeelle vasta klo 14. Ajettiin ensin kasvitieteelliseen puutarhaan, joka oli majapaikasta noin 20 km etelään. Se oli rinteessä. Meille riitti lyhyempi kierros. Sieltä jatkettiin Chaniaan.
