February 22nd 2016 After such a glorious time in the beautiful, desolate desert, walking into the train station in Giza was a harsh wake up call. We had several hours to spend until our overnight train to Aswan. Pouting, sleepless and a crowd of thousands--please, no!
Two overnight journeys in a day, and that's just the start! You so deserve a good pout, and your words made it so enjoyable. My favorites of your juicy gems were, "By IPhone light, we saw the temple" and "Dr. Atkins' Nightmare Breakfast." Plus, so funny that you'd suffered so much to come and watch the big moment...on a small TV--please, couldn't you have watched from your comfy hotel beds? But how great you all had those moments alone in the temple, got to see the wonders of Philae and Abu Simbel and perhaps became famous on Egyptian and China morning shows. Even in a little group and with guides lined up, Egyptian travel doesn't seem so easy.
