Quito, Ecuador to Cuenca Riding out of Quito was nice with great views back to the Virgin of Quito statue on the hill. The temperature was cooler due to the altitude and I wore my rainsuit for warmth until nearly 2pm when we stopped for lunch. The riding was mountainous with several active volcanoes and desert-like vegetation of agaves and cacti and we rose in altitude quickly to 3621 masl. ... read more
