After a while in coastal Peru and Ecuador and a week in the Galapagos, we definitely felt the altitude in Quito. We stayed in the Mariscal neighborhood which was convenient but a little shady at night. Lots of people at spanish camp. We visited the PC office and the CD there runs a really tight ship.
