We arrived at our destination of Fort Myers Florida at 4 o'clock, after a good day on the water, in spite of the gloomy weather forecast. We are newly retired and ready to cruise! Our 32 foot Cape Island trawler, North Star, will be our summer cruiser in Canada and our 44 foot Marine Trader, Hemingway, is our warm climate cruiser, presently in Florida. Our land home is a small cottage outside of Lewisporte, Newfoundland, Canada. We hope to join cruising regattas organized by the Lewisporte Yacht Club members as they explore the Bay of Exploits, some of the best northern cruising grounds.
