Anchored at Longboat Key just north of Sarasota. Sunday on the ICW held up to its reputation, with fast boats flying all over the place, waking and threatening to swamp smaller slower boats. We are newly retired and ready to cruise! Our 32 foot Cape Island trawler, North Star, will be our summer cruiser in Canada and our 44 foot Marine Trader, Hemingway, is our warm climate cruiser, presently in Florida. Our land home is a small cottage outside of Lewisporte, Newfoundland, Canada.
