We had a long day today in the rain. We are anchored in Dubuque Iowa and it is still pouring rain with thunder and lightning. There was nothing else to do on a rainy day so we just kept going. We travelled 98 miles for a total of 251 miles in three days. We should be at the same attitude as Chicago by tomorrow night. We are newly retired and ready to cruise! Our 32 foot Cape Island trawler, North Star, will be our summer cruiser in Canada and our 44 foot Marine Trader, Hemingway, is our warm climate cruiser, presently in Florida. Our land home is a small cottage outside of Lewisporte, Newfoundland, Canada.
