We woke up at 6 to get our 10 hour bus to Vientiane. The journey was fairly smooth and we got there at 5.30. We had dinner in a little hut place by the station. Then we waited until 8.30 to get our connecting sleeper bus to 4000 islands. The bus had 'double beds' so Iona and I shared and Charlotte was with a random girl.
