Day # 40 July 18th 2015 100km winds forecasted! With the driving rain and wind starting to build we decided to bail from the cliff top at Pouto. Lance took a hammering trying to secure bikes etc on the back of the motorhome. It was good entertainment as I cranked up the heater and watched. We are a Rotorua kiwi couple heading off on our big motorhome adventure around NZ after a year in the planning. Leaving our jobs (Cheryl - Radiology Manager & Lance -Accountant) is scary but also exciting as we celebrate our midlife with no income and semi independent adult children.
Everyone knows we live in this amazing country and our plan is to explore NZ without timeframes, taking each day as it comes. Exploring all the places we have been past but never had time to stop and explore.
We haven’t been everywhere in NZ but it’s on their list!
