Ancient monasteries and frescoes in Bulgaria

Sometimes you find a spare half hour and as I am about to leave for the aiport this is a quickie just to show a few photos from yesterday's visit to the World Heritage site of Rila Monastery and the ancient church of Boyana. Yes Dave it was a WOW moment and the icons and golden screen , chandeliers inside were a sight to behold. What craftsmanship and skill these artists had.
