A big thank you to the Auckland ratepayers who I am sure have contributed to the success of the Auckland Botanic Gardens. This is a fairly impressive place for a relative young garden in world terms. Only opened to public in 1982 this 156 acre garden is well worth a visit. There is Free entry, so no excuse for everyone not to visit. We spent several hours here today. Hi We are a Rotorua kiwi couple heading off on our big motorhome adventure around NZ after a year in the planning. Leaving our jobs (Cheryl - Radiology Manager & Lance -Accountant) is scary but also exciting as we celebrate our midlife with no income and semi independent adult children.
