Rogers Arena - home of the NHL's Vancouver Canucks

Rogers Arena is an indoor sports arena which opened in 1995. It was known as General Motors Place (GM Place) until 2010 when new naming rights were obtained by Rogers Communications. The arena was built to replace Pacific Coliseum as Vancouver's primary indoor sports facility especially after the National Basketball Association's (NBA) 1995 expansion into Canada when Vancouver and Toronto were given expansion teams. The arena was home to the Vancouver Grizzlies of the NBA from 1995 to 2001. The arena hosted the ice hockey events at the 2010 Winter Olympics & is now home to the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League.
