We arrived at very shaded site at Ares which is good for the hot day. We visited Cap Ferret - there are some huge sand dunes at the beaches, otherwise a bit of a disappointment as very built up. Very popular holiday area for the French. We travelled down to Arcachon and Le Pliet but we're unable to park - extremely busy and horse racing on the beach.
