Gorgeous photos!
So glad you got to visit this amazing site, but so sad the lack of respect show by tourists--really a problem everywhere (flash photos of the Mona Lisa, touching marble statues in Greek and Roman museums, etc) Since Bagan is so massive, I can imagine why the government is hard pressed to conserve and protect all the treasures. But as tourism grows, how fabulous if they could post a guide/guard at the temples--increase local employment and tourist awareness. Glad you splurged on a hot shower--so lovely occasionally!
