OMG--rather scary and scratchy encounters!
Andrew's account of the big guy on the train was so scary--I wouldn't have slept at all that night. And then, Ren's big boy pushes her into a thorn tree--yikes. Well, on the other hand, Andrew got a new musical instrument, and Ren came to have a soft spot for camels. Always those ups and downs on the road that make it interesting. It's so lovely that you've visited smaller, colorful and manageable cities in India--I didn't realize they existed. And, I must say I'm totally impressed with Ren's ability to sleep on those trains (and everywhere, it appears). That is such a fine travelers' skill!

Tara as much as I was curious about the big guy on the overnight train, I was also sort of glad I didn't see him. The thorn tree incident wasn't scary at the time, but I suppose it could have ended quite badly. Although even if Raja had tried to throw me off his back, I wouldn't have gone anywhere seeing as I was well and truly embedded in that thorn tree! Andrew hasn't had time to experiment with the new musical instrument yet, but I'm very eager to see how that goes. My 'sleeping-anywhere' ability is a family trait... I'm so thankful for it. :)
