18 April 2015 Saturday. The clouds with light rain that moved into Dubrovnik the previous evening had settled over the city with a promise of heavier rain. Home and Away

I started blogging on Travelblog in 2009, entering trips beginning in 2007. My intention has always been to document my years of travel since my birth...how else was I to save all the slides my Dad took of my childhood! Most bloggers write about their trips away from home. Wonderful new/old bridge
Great that you're seeing so many important sites on your tour! Indeed the young are more polarized than their parents. In the Bosnia Muslim cemeteries, one sees a sea of images of young men killed in the war. Their younger siblings remember this, and like tourists, can no longer walk in the mountains sown with mines, and it's also their buildings on the Muslim east side of Mostar that carry the burden of the bullet holes and destruction. Fortunately, the history of Split is longer and the recent war not so evident--enjoy!
