More than Bali
How lucky you Aussies to have exotic Indonesia, with its mix of religions, so close! Your visits to the palace and Prambanan sound wonderful--I'd never heard of the latter, only of Borobudur, so how great to learn of yet another magical spot there. A friend, a pool and happy hour--a perfect ending!

Well there has to be some benefits in living at the bottom of the world, although that said it was still over 7 hours to fly to Jakarta...you just do what you gotta do when you have the travel bug. Prambanan was incredible and like you I hadn't heard of it before. It was definitely worth the visit though.
