I chose the Doubtfuls sounds over the Milford sounds as they are more or less the same its a lost less touristy. There was also the opportunity to spend a night cruising the sounds with a sleep over. Not the cheap option but well worth it. The weather was on our side and the views were once again like everything in New Zealand, spectacular!
