Buddhas, Temples & Lots of Walking in Vientiane - Lao's Capital City March 22nd 2015 My pick up for the bus trip to Vientiane was earlier than expected, around 7.30am. Thankfully I was ready and at reception when he arrived with an electric people mover, definately a first. The bus to Vientiane was a full sized coach and I claimed a seat in the back corner with plenty of leg room and the only window that opened, I later discovered.

After months of research, the itinerary is set in stone and I am on the verge of departure for my second trip to India, this time with my sister Ginny. This isn't an organised tour, I have created our itinerary myself, visiting twelve fascinating destinations including Hampi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Orchha, and Khajuraho.
