HE SAID... We were leaving Thekkady and heading west to Kerala Backwaters. slower and quieter on the backwaters...
Love the images you paint/write with: "mobbed by a group of Christian Missionaries who had congregated outside the public toilet, the humidity shrouded us like a heavy, wet and slightly itchy blanket, I had that tingling feeling of being somewhere exotic, and experiencing something that I have never experienced before." Sounds like a heavenly retreat!

Thanks Tara! It really was a welcome retreat of complete relaxation...especially on a trip that had turned out to be more hectic that anticipated.
