Good-by America!
I love hearing what others think of my country, though Texas seems as foreign to me as it did to you. I so agree that many of our ways are so bizarre--the giant stores and many choices of cheap, unhealthy, packaged goods overwhelm me, the drive-throughs are so bizarre, (I love taking foreign visitors through them), and our individualism will be our downfall (lack of universal health care of free uni education). But, like you, I think the people are generally pretty open and friendly, and I'm glad you're feeling a bit bitter-sweet in leaving. Best wishes with you Ph.D and your next move!

Love NYC
I love NY every time I come here I love it more. Little information to people who are first timer, book your hotel and car service well advance. I stayed at times S area where all the actions are. Hilton was a nice hotel so was W hotel. I also used Daisy Limo I found it online and it is a reliable limo service
