My home is Abbotsford, BC, Canada. I started global traveling relatively late in life, though I had done a lot of touring around North America prior. In April, 2007 I trekked to Everest Base Camp in Nepal (with Peregrine), and in April 2008 did a tour of Costa Rica (with Tucan). In March, 2009 I went on an overland trip with Dragoman to Africa (Capetown to Vic Falls) to see sand dunes, wildlife, deltas, traditional people, etc. It is on that trip that I started blogging. Hotel Question
I am reading your blog...where did you stay? I am having a hard time finding a nice hotel for our family (3 boys ages 11, 12 and 14). There are a ton of hostels and a few high end hotels. I am looking for something nice in-between in either Colon or Bastimentos. Thank you for any advice.

Hello, I was with a tour group, so did not make my own arrangements. I do not recall the hotel in Bocas, but in Boquete we stayed at the Hostal Boquete (which was a hotel, not a hostel), and in Panama City we stayed at the Hotel Americano, which was a nice medium level hotel, just inside the "safe zone" of the City. we did not go to either Colon or Bastimentos.
