A day in Chi Phat village--I want to say "typical" day--but nothing is ever typical. It usually starts with a bicycle ride, but then anything can happen... At 6 am I'm out on my bicycle for a morning ride. I pass Veasna, a former cycling guide and tell him to join me. A beautiful life!
You've carved out such a sweet, helpful life for yourself there. I love places with red dirt roads, animals wandering about and friendly people. Good for you for learning Khmer and for being patient helping the guides. How fab that the women as well as the men, get to climb trees for treats, and that men, like Rat, also cook and care for the children. What a lovely community!
