Monday was the last day in Peru. We were picked up at the hotel by the guy who was going to drive us to the border. For some reason his wife was there too. The drive to the border only took a couple of hours, but of course we had to stop along the way and look at another church or two. Dakar Rally
Oh the memories. We were lucky enough to follow the route of the 2014 Dakar Rally this month using bits from the 2015 Rally as well. Yes they crossed the salt flats in the 2015 rally which led to many getting lost and one died. The message is do not cross the salt flats when flooded...or risk peril!!!
