What a man!
Bravo for not being a cactus weenie--and how great that you had a proper reward! So glad that you discovered the beauty of one of my fave cities--I spent four months there last year. Good luck with the altitude and the trail--it's all at a lower elevation than Cusco and the first day isn't so difficult. Best wishes! Also, I'm in Arequipa--if you come, I can give you a tour! Come on down!
