Rostral Columns

Were designed in 1810 to be used as lighthouses and operated with oil lights. They are decorated with the bows of ships to represent naval victories which is a very Roman style. They still operate on gas and are lit for ceremonial occasions these days.

Another 9am start, breakfast at Zoom Zoom, and we made our way to the underground railway. I've never travelled so deep on an escalator, the ride taking a good 5 minutes.
