Day 23, 17th October 2014: Rabanal de Camino to Molinaseca, 26 kms

After leaving Rabanal it was a long steady climb to La Cruz De Ferro, the hilltop cross at the highest point of the Camino, 1505 metres above sea level. The relevance of the Cross is that most people carry a stone or personal item to leave and it can represent an unburdening of some aspect of life for them. Great photos!
Congrats on making it to and letting go of things at the Cruz de Fierro (very nice stones you had). I see that you'll soon be at big city Ponferrada with its fab Templar's Castle, and then at one of my really favorite stops, Villafranca del Bierzo. I do hope you visit the several magical, Romanesque churches there. You're bringing back such wonderful memories--thank you!
