"God is in the details," so said my fave American architect
Like you, I prefer the older skyscrapers, especially because of their gargoyles and details like that great Alwyn Court. However, you caught the soulless One Trade Center in the most perfect photo--it seems bathed in reflective radiance. To be honest, I'm sad to see those Trade Centers rising again; in my opinion, they were/are too tall and ruined the integrated skyline. Oh well, as you showed, there are still plenty of gems in the Big Apple.
