The sleep after the boat trip wasn't the best.... getting to bed at 4 in the morning and having to be up at 8 wasn't easy... but we thrived on the motto that, WE'RE IN RUSSIA, and sleep will just have to wait. A 20 year old, soon to be final year history student in a seaside town in mid Wales, with an interest in travel and journalism. Before university I hadn't really traveled much, I was always a bit apprehensive. So for me, joining the university History Society, or HistSoc as we call ourselves was brilliant! Last year we went on a 'summer tour' to Italy; visiting Rome, Sorrento, Capri and the Vatican City.
