I had determined the trip from Charlotte NC to Sanford FL, home of my 90 year old aunt, was over 500 miles and about 7-1/2 hours. A day like that is too long for this retired wimp! Sometimes I have to remind myself, “If it’s not fun, why do it?” The weather was still nice, although quite crisp in the morning, and a stop in Augusta GA would shorten the leg to Sanford by about one-third.
