On April 7, it was finally time for our two week vacation! First 10 days in Sri Lanka, then 2.5 days in the Maldives, and the missing 1.5 day would be spent on flying and layovers. The first 5 days in Sri Lanka were so fast-paced it barely felt like vacation but rather a crash-course in Sri Lankan culture.
