Tonopah cemetery

Read the sign in the picture to understand who is buried here. It is sad to think of those people who came here looking for gold, so young, just to end up dead. Sucks.

Tonopah is another "gold" town that used to have thousand of miners at the start of the 1900s and today has only 2,000 people. It is north of Goldfield. It has the large "Tonopah Mining Park" with lots of century old leftovers from the mining days. In 1911 there was a big fire inside of one mine during which several miners died.
